SIIV — Integrated Customs Information System
SIIV is the backbone of all customs activity in Romania. Every customs declaration, every import and export, every conformity check against European rules passes through this system. When we took over the project, the databases were running on an out-of-support Oracle version — a major security and operational risk. Our mission was to migrate all 25+ production databases and around 40 custom developed apps to a new Oracle Exadata platform, build a high-availability architecture (if one server fails, another takes over instantly), and create a Disaster Recovery site that synchronizes continuously with production. Most importantly: we completed the entire migration without a single second of downtime for customs operations. Customs continued to function normally throughout the 3 years of project maintenance.
